Hi, I'm Thomas. Welcome to my online portfolio! I  I graduated from Otis College of Art and Design in 2008 with a degree in Digital Media. Since then, I've worked for various studios as a freelance artist and in-house staff artist. Some studios I have had the pleasure to working with include Warner Bros. TV, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Bento Box, Blind, Psyop LA, and That Game Company.

As a background painter, our duty is to help reinforce storytelling through the use of color, lighting, composition, texture and many other principles of film. 

This portfolio mainly showcases various background paintings and visual development work for TV animation.

Each background (BG) was drawn and designed by the BG design department and handed off to the BG paint department. There's  a lot of talented artists involved in these productions and I am excited to share some of the journey into making these shows. Thanks for stopping by!
